about the artist

"My pieces sometimes come out with such a unique and beautiful pattern that I can escape from the harshness of reality, if only for a moment.  Others, a child's finger paintings.  I just don't show anyone the latter." ~Ben Fuller

Ben Fuller was born and raised in Oneida, NY, a suburb of Syracuse.  Despite selling art for two years, he hadn't realized his own artistic inclination until over a year after leaving the gallery, and late 2019, he discovered that he could find solace in his artwork.  He paints not just as a distraction for himself, but hopes that his work can give viewers a brief respite from all of the craziness of life.

Ben's contemporary pieces are done in a variety of pour painting techniques, namely flip cup and swipe painting.  His pieces often feature aquatic themes, featuring his favorite color, blue.  His acrylic pouring medium recipe gives his pieces the cell formations and lacing spread throughout them.

His studio is in his home in Oneida, where he both sells artwork and is commissioned for custom pieces.  While Ben is a new artist, his work is gaining popularity even outside his home state.  He has been commissioned to do custom pieces in three different locations in Tennessee.  After the COVID restrictions are lifted, Ben hopes to be able to set up a space at his first art fair.

No prints, ever. all originals

While Ben can try to replicate a previous piece, all works are original and do not come as prints.
